Watching paint dry….

I am literally watching paint dry. My homework for watercolor class consists of “glazing” 10 thin layers of paint, so that the finished product is a page of progressively darker stripes. The catch is that for the effect to work, the previous layer must be absolutely, perfectly dry. ARGH.

Other news of the day:

– The cat ate three times today: breakfast paste by syringe, lunch tuna by fingertips, and finally dinner straight out of the can. She’s only consuming a teaspoon or less at a time, but at least she’s eating.

– Finally, after a four-month delay, I got my hair cut. The new stylist took three inches off the length and gave me bangs. The part she cut off was the last of my “old” wavy hair that pre-dates my current medication regimen. My “new” hair is straighter and silkier. It feels odd to me.

– I bought Robin Wayne Bailey’s “DragonKin 3: UnderSky” today. Get yours soon before they’re all gone.

I know. We use them in class, but I hate the nasty whiny sound it makes.

As cats start to feel a bit better, they start to eat more on their own. When we brought Velcro (my cat with congestive heart failure) to live with us, that was one of the main concerns. It takes time, but eating on their own is definitely a good sign.

Definitely. She ate about 5 cc’s of paste this morning, with vigor, but only if I fed her from my fingertips. And she’s a bit wobbly — not sure if it’s part of her headcold or if she’s deteriorating neurologically.
