I’m back, minus one gallbladder. All seems to have gone well, or so they tell me. Spent one night in the hospital, and I’m glad I did. The drugs are better there. For now, it’s bland food (my regular diet!) and LorTabs. Gonna be moving slow for a while, and no heavy lifting. (Hear that, cat? You’ll have to carry your own fat self up the stairs to bed! And stay off my belly!)

We lost a special lady yesterday. The heart she was born with wasn’t strong enough to keep up with her. After many close calls, massive medical hurdles, and what seemed like an eternity of waiting, she finally received a donor heart. But the new healthy heart beating inside her wasn’t enough.
