I am literally watching paint dry. My homework for watercolor class consists of “glazing” 10 thin layers of paint, so that the finished product is a page of progressively darker stripes. The catch is that for the effect to work, the previous layer must be absolutely, perfectly dry. ARGH. The cat still isn’t eating, but she climbed the stairs a few minutes ago to hide in one of her favorite nap spots. I’ve been giving her fluids sub-q, but I believe the end is near.
The cat is sick again. The poor little pooper experienced several difficulties and personal indignities during her week boarding at the vet. Now she’s back on antibiotics for a bladder infection and she won’t eat. If no food, then no insulin. She’s even turning up her nose at her special yummy treats. And she’s mad that I’m keeping her confined to an area that is easy to clean….
I’m back. The return flights were on time and as promised. (I never expect the last flight of the day to be on time or actually make its connection.) Today, I catch up on loose ends in the job hunt, do an interview, go to a networking dinner, and pick up the cat.
