Today’s happy moment: Discovering that gluten-free buckwheat waffles with low-sugar marmalade and no butter satisfy my craving for breakfast toast. (No wheat and no high-fructose corn syrup. Yeah!)
Today’s unhappy moment: Spilling the contents of the shredder while trying to empty it. (Grumble.)

I have a friend with Celiac’s Disease that makes sandwiches with gluten-free waffles. She has hew own recipe, but I believe they’re largely mashed potato and rice flour.
