Happy Toes, They Comes and Goes…

Just a few days ago my rheumatologist examined my toes and pronounced the joints to be in good shape. The joint at base of the big left toe, in particular, has actually regained flexibilty and exhibited significantly less pain since starting the Remicade…. until today.

While extracting Mayhem from a forbidden perch, he pulled a hard, heavy, pointy thing from the shelf. It landed pointy side down, of course, smack dab in the middle of that particular joint. Cursing and hopping ensued. Mayhem, still in my arms, went along for the ride whether he wanted to or not.

Several hours and an ice bag later, I deemed it prudent to go out in search of a pair of shoes (sandals, actually) that wouldn’t touch said joint until damage clears. The sandals are black (of course). The toe joint is a lovely shade of black and blue. Humbug.

Cats.

Oh, definitely. The only thing footwear prohibit are “beach shoes” and worn-out sneakers. We’re a “business comfortable” environment.

Oh, man! Stoopid cats; they just seem to cause mayhem in our lives. But we loves ’em, yes we do.

Yes, Mayhem earned his name the day we brought him home. But we loves them, yes we do! And he’s been terribly attentive and apologetic since the unfortunate “incident.”

I’m so sorry about your toe. Mine still hurts but is much better. I have no idea what I did but at least it is getting better.

Glad to hear you’re on the mend. Mine is a little better this morning too, but incredibly happy not to have a shoe rubbing against it!
