Math is hard… not.

HobLob… the store for crafters who aren’t good with math… My options: a 4-pack for 99 cents, or an 8-pack for $2.49. You do the math. (And yes, I bought two 4-packs.)

last time I ever shopped there

    a) they were playing a flat-picked bluegrass version of a hymn that is almost obscene played that way and 2) they had a lot of glass supplies (torches, glass rods, no propane though) and no books on ‘how to.” That’s ‘how to burn the house down’ or ‘how to asphyxiate yourself in one easy lesson.’

plus their pricing is a mystery, and really really stuoopid on beads if you can buy wholesale.

HobLob is close, usually cheaper than the evil Michael’s, and I never buy anything there at full price. Today was a 50% off purchase of tie-tack style pinbacks. It makes me crazy that they don’t use barcodes… checkout is incredibly tedious.

On one visit, I found myself humming along with an upbeat rendition of Bringing In The Sheaves…I hadn’t heard that hymn for over 30-odd years…

    I can’t believe you didn’t buy the economy-sized 12-pack for only $8.95

How are they on feathers? Variety and price-wise? Not the kind by the masks making/doll dressing area, but do they have looong feathers like the one I used in my piraty hats?

i find some of the stuff like that to be really sad. A friend of the family run his own black smith shop. he use to make these spoons with a fork on the end and called them Spoon a fork. made some up he set out half of them with the fork at the top of the display and the spoon at the bottom. Placed his sign Spoon a forks $5. he then did the oppistie with them and placed a sign on them that read Fork a spoon $6. A lady came in and asked for 2 of each… sigh. i think it was PT Barnam that said “there is a sucker born every minute.”
