Oh, deer!

Another Thanksgiving meal cooked and eaten, and a largely drama-free day. I did, however, have a bit of excitement on the drive into town this evening — I hit a deer. Well, to be more precise, I nudged a small deer in the butt as I skidded to a stop. He walked away from the encounter, and as best as I can tell, there was no damage to the rental car. My mother was remarkably calm throughout the ordeal, and my young niece never made a peep. However, the deer must have told his friends — two more deer tried to ambush us on the return trip.

    EEEEEEEE!
Glad you didn’t get clobbered. We clipped a deer like that once, he fell but got up and ran off. It’s scary, especially when they dart right in front of you.
